About me.
I grew up alongside the growth of the Internet. My primary school emphasized computer literacy, and we wrote programs in the language BASIC by the third grade. I got my first personal computer in 1994, and quickly found creative ways to use the evolving technology to solve problems and find community.
I began working with computers professionally in 1998, as a college student doing first-level tech support for other students. I went into dorm rooms to diagnose and repair hardware, software, and internet connections, and to teach my fellow students how to connect.
I've also been a teaching assistant for computer literacy and programming classes, a systems administrator, a database administrator, a project manager, a programmer, and a web designer and developer.
After working for corporations, startups, and universities, I recently decided to strike out on my own and offer full-service web development as a freelancer. I love implementing technical solutions, but the experience of sitting down with clients and figuring out how to address their needs is the part of my job I have always enjoyed the most.
